Structured Finance – Corporates

Sean is the National Head of Structured Finance Corporates at Santander. He's responsible for leading a team across the UK working with management teams and advisors, providing leveraged and/or complex debt financing solutions in the mid-market space. Sean has over 25 years of experience working with and supporting mid-market businesses. Before joining Santander in 2009 he was a Regional Managing Director for Bank of Ireland and had also previously worked in Corporate and Structured Finance roles for ABN AMRO and BNP Paribas Fortis after starting his career at NatWest.

Allan joined Santander in 2014 and is a Director in the Structured Finance Corporates team. Prior to this, he spent seven years at Credit Agricole CIB, six years at Bank of Ireland and 13 years at Bank of Scotland in each of these banks’ leveraged finance teams. A seasoned senior debt and mezzanine financier with the structural skill set to originate, structure and execute LBOs and corporate acquisitions.

Roddy joined Santander in 2013 with more than 15 years' corporate finance experience, including BDO and EY. He spent eight years at Clydesdale Bank, playing a major role in the creation and growth of a successful acquisition finance team in North West England. Roddy is focused on mid-market financial sponsor and corporate M&A transactions, as well as the provision of growth capital funding for fast growing SMEs in Scotland. He is a chartered accountant with a degree in Scots Law and a Diploma in Russian from Glasgow University.

Richard is a Director within the Structured Finance team who joined Santander in 2014. He qualified as a CA with Deloitte in 2005, and has 12 years’ subsequent corporate finance, recovery and business advisory experience across roles within EY, Bank of Scotland and overseas. Richard is focused on mid-market financial sponsor and corporate M&A transactions, as well as the provision of growth capital funding for fast growing SMEs in Scotland and Northern Ireland. He holds a Masters Degree in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh.

Scott is a Director within the Structured Finance Corporates team having joined Santander in 2010, initially working in the Financial Sponsors team. Prior to this, he accumulated c10 years of corporate finance experience in a variety of roles across banking, advisory, due diligence and industry. Scott qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen in 1999.

Tom is an Associate Director within the Structured Finance Corporates team having joined Santander in 2015 to initially work in the Large Corporate Group with investment and sub-investment grade UK clients. Prior to this, he spent four years at Barclays in the Large Corporate team, working with a range of PLCs, large privately owned, and sponsor backed clients. He studied Environmental Management & Business Studies at The University of Leeds.

Marcus is an Associate Director within the Structured Finance Corporates team having joined Santander in 2017. Prior to this, he spent over two years working for a Midlands-based mezzanine debt fund and five years prior in commercial finance roles in industry. He holds a degree in Accounting, Financial Management and Maths from Sheffield University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Deloitte.

Bob is an Associate Director within the Structured Finance Corporates team, having previously spent three years in Santander’s Risk division. Prior to joining Santander in 2013, Bob spent seven years at Barclays delivering credit analysis and deal structuring for Large Corporate clients. Bob holds a BSc in Economics & Accounting and an MSc in Finance & Economics from the University of Southampton.
