Nathan Bostock
Chief Executive Officer
Nathan Bostock was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Santander UK plc on 29 September 2014.
Nathan joined Santander UK as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director on 19 August 2014 from The Royal Bank of Scotland plc (“RBS”), where he was an Executive Director and Group Finance Director. He joined RBS in 2009 as Head of Restructuring and Risk and Group Chief Risk Officer.
Nathan previously spent eight years with Abbey National plc (now Santander UK plc) from 2001 to 2009 and served on the Board as an Executive Director from 2005. During his time with Abbey National plc, he held various senior positions including Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, Finance, Markets and Human Resources. Nathan was also previously at RBS through 1991 – 2001 in a number of senior positions and spent seven years before that with Chase Manhattan Bank in a variety of areas and functions. He qualified as a chartered accountant and holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics.
Chris Sullivan
Chief Executive Officer, Santander UK Corporate and Commercial
Chris joined Santander UK as the Head of Corporate Banking at the beginning of 2016.
Chris reports into Santander UK CEO Nathan Bostock and leads our larger SME, corporate and institutional clients and markets business.
Chris has over 40 years of experience in banking, having spent 40 years with the Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest, including as Chief Executive of their Corporate Banking Division between 2009 and 2013 and Deputy Group CEO from 2013 – 2014.
Mike Ellwood
Managing Director, Corporate Banking, Santander UK plc
Mike has 30 years of Corporate Banking experience and joined Santander in 2009 initially to grow the Large Corporate Group and establish a Leverage Finance business.
Previously with RBS, he was latterly Managing Director, Structured Finance where he led many LBOs, P2Ps and shareholder recapitalisations and set up Total Capital Finance (an integrated equity offering to mid-market companies).
A keen sports fan who enjoys golf, football and rugby, Mike is married with two boys who also share his interest in sport.
