How do small potatoes lead to big business success?
William Chase isn’t your average potato farmer.
After finding success with Tyrrell’s Crisps, William Chase stumbled on a small distillery making potato vodka in the USA. This gave him the idea for making a premium British white spirits and Chase currently produce and sell around 500,000 bottles from its single-estate distillery.

In 2001 he established Tyrrell’s Potato Chips, sold in 2008 for many millions of pounds. He continued with the humble potato and created a super-premium vodka, Chase, which was voted Best Vodka in the World at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
In 2010, Chase was named the world’s best vodka and is now stocked by premium retail outlets including Waitrose, Harvey Nicholls, Selfridges and Fortnum & Mason and it currently exports to 32 countries.
Santander provided Chase the banking support to expand further into international markets and grow its already established reputation in the UK.
Chase intends to utilise Santander's Trade Portal and Trade Club to help find trading partners overseas to help build on their UK success.
