Dudley College backed with £20m package

Santander Corporate & Commercial has provided Dudley College with a £20m funding package, enabling the institution to complete the construction of its hub dedicated to advanced building technologies, as well as expanding its reach overseas.

The £12m Dudley Learning Quarter will provide vocational skills in the latest construction techniques and will support the industry through staff re-training and apprenticeships. Santander's Midlands education team supported the college with a refinance and restructure of its existing facilities. The £20m package will also allow the college to expand its international focus through its capacity and capability building projects, administered by the Saudi government. Lowell Williams, principal of Dudley College, said: 'Dudley College is absolutely delighted with the service and support which has been provided by Santander. Not only have they shown a genuine and detailed interest in the college's core provision, but they have an understanding and appetite for supporting our growing international business. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with them.'
