Kapitex Healthcare Ltd looks to expand thanks to Santander support
Santander has recently supported the refinancing of Kapitex Healthcare Ltd, one of the UK’s leading providers of medical devices for airway management, by providing senior debt facilities of £4 million.
Kapitex was founded in the 1990s. The science-based and clinically orientated company has grown continuously since, developing a range of airway management products for patients who have had laryngectomy and tracheostomy procedures.
In April 2016, Kapitex was acquired from its founders by one of its key suppliers, TRACOE, and Managing Director Ian Worthington, bringing together many years of experience in the medical device industry. TRACOE is a German based manufacturer and world leader in tracheostomy devices exporting to over 80 countries worldwide.
The acquisition provides clear benefits for both businesses, both in the UK and in international markets, and it will allow Kapitex to accelerate the expansion of its export business and invest in new product lines.
