Santander named business bank of the year at business Moneyfacts Awards 2016
Santander wins four awards: ‘Business Bank of the Year’ ‘Best Business Current Account Provider’, ‘Best International Solutions Provider’, ‘Innovation in the SME Finance Sector’
Santander was named ‘Business Bank of the Year’ for the second consecutive year and Best Business Current Account Provider’, for the fourteenth time at the annual Business Moneyfacts Awards last night.
These prestigious awards are testament to Santander’s commitment to becoming the bank of choice for UK companies and were among four awards taken home on the night. Business Moneyfacts, the leading independent business finance guide, also awarded Santander the titles of ‘Best International Solutions Provider’ and ‘Innovation in the SME Finance Sector.’
Santander was also commended in the ‘Business Start-up Bank of the Year’ and ‘Best Online Banking Provider’ awards.
Sue Douthwaite, Head of Business Banking, Santander UK, said: “This is not the first time the industry recognises our commitment to helping businesses prosper. We achieve this by making it a priority to build lasting relationships and provide our customers with the right solutions to meet their banking needs. If that were not the case we would have not been awarded Business Bank of the Year for the second consecutive year -- it is a real testimony to the outstanding proposition.”
John Carroll, Head of Product Management & International Business, Santander Corporate and Commercial, added: “Winning these awards shows the strength of our overall value proposition for businesses, built on our relationship banking approach. It also highlights how we continue to grow and develop an innovative range of unique international solutions that provide businesses with the level of the support they need to make their business a success. I am extremely pleased to see how our hard work is recognised in the industry.”
