Soccer Direct FC doubles size of headquarters to cater for record demand with Santander support
Black Country-based online football teamwear retailer, has secured significant funding from Santander Business Banking to facilitate the purchase of new premises following an extended period of growth and record revenues.
Soccer Direct FC sells sports clothing, equipment and accessories, and specialises in team kits for grassroots football clubs, worldwide. The firm has over 25 years’ experience in the sector and has continuously grown its client base by offering competitive “deals” – such as personalised sportswear packages at discounted prices from top sportswear brands including Adidas and Nike.
The firm benefitted from record levels of revenue in 2016 and is a preferred distributor of Adidas products – maintaining platinum distribution status with the German multi-national.
As a result of an increasing demand for specialised sportswear, it had outgrown its previous leasehold premises and needed a bigger distribution base to expand its business. The new headquarters – based at Lower Church Lane, Tipton – is double the size of the previous base to cater for this demand and a potential increase in employee numbers in 2018.
