P2 Consulting, a fast-growing business with an established blue-chip client base and a leading project management offering is now able to implement their strategy for growth, thanks to securing funding for a management buy-out from Santander, using their growth capital facility.

Money will support the company, which serves the manufacturing sector, with Welsh and West Midland growth plans.

Held annually since 1997, the Canning Lecture has been delivered by a visiting Latin American or Iberian President. This year’s lecture will be delivered by Her Excellency Michelle Bachelet, President of the Republic of Chile. Santander is proud to be one of the supporting companies of the 2016 lecture.

In partnership with Queen’s University Belfast, Santander will deliver a supported internship programme, aimed specifically at Northern Irish SMEs. The programme offers 12-week internships and participating SMEs will receive £1,500 towards their costs.

Santander UK has joined forces with an online lender to provide small businesses with quick-fire funding. The bank has teamed up with Kabbage, a US fintech company in which Santander invests, to speed up the underwriting process so that firms can potentially access working capital of up to £100,000 online on the same day.

Santander UK chief executive Nathan Bostock has opened a new branch in Regent's Place, where he was accompanied by Deputy CEO and Head of Retail and Business Banking Javier San Felix, Managing Director of Santander Retail Distribution Martin Bischoff and Branch Director Sarah Hicks.
